Yoga during pregnancy for normal delivery

As a Yoga Teacher, I’ve studied also Prenatal Yoga and Yoga Postpartum. But also I tried them both on myself. Currently, I am 5 months pregnant for the second time, and this time I have more yoga in my life than in my first pregnancy. And I wanna tell you that if you are pregnant doesn’t mean that you can practice only Prenatal yoga. Yoga in general has beneficial results on women during pregnancy. If you love yoga you can still practice Hatha, Vinyasa, or Restorative. Simply that your teacher must know how to adjust you for any lesson. Playlist for yoga practice

In this post, I share my favorite yoga playlist from Apple music that you can also listen on your computer. Stillness of the mind Traditionally yoga is a spiritual practice, in which silence may feel fit better. Still, yoga is basically about inner silence or rather inner stillness. Patanjali (one of the founding fathers of the yoga philosophy) defines yoga as “ Yogas Chitta Vritti Nirodha ”. From Sanskrit, this means as important as yoga stilling the mind. You may also call it turning inward or coming home to yourself and your body while the mind quiets. Music can support this turning inward. It can help you to get into that physical and internal inflow. So in this sense, using music doesn’t have to abstract from the yoga tradition. Playing music to support your inflow and soul-searching may be kindly different than how Patanjali intended the yoga sutras when he wrote them down some centuries BC, but we also can not deny how important the world and the way we exercise yoga have changed since also. In my particular experience music is really helpful to find my inner stillness and inflow during my yoga practice. Of course, this is different for everyone, but especially when you’re fluently distracted music can be great to mute background noises. How to meditate properly

Everyone asks this question. But there is no answer on How to meditate PROPERLY. It takes time to get used to it first, and then to train yourself to enter a meditative state. The meditation itself has super easy steps, but you might say, is not easy to practice. The most difficult here is to start 🙂 Just start doing it, today 3 mins, tomorrow 4 mins, until you arrive to 20-30 mins at least. In this post, you will find a complete guide on how to meditate and how to understand your progress. Meditation goes beyond positive thinking. It teaches us that we already have all we need, and that, by creating space and silence within, we can experience the peace and bliss of our true Self. This post contain affiliate links. It is actually very easy to do if you know the steps. Meditation requires focusing you attention on one object. Practice daily for 20-30 minutes. Find a clean, quiet space (a cluttered or dirty environment will distract the mind) and sit in a comfortable position with your back straight (either in the chair, or in a crossed leg position), then begin. 1. Focus on your breath. Start with a few deep and slow breaths to trigger a relaxation response in your nervous system. 2. Focus on your third eye or the centre of your chest (area of your heart), to ground your mind and start channelling its energy. 3. Slow your breathing to a minimum, inhale and exhale silently for 3-4 seconds. Try to make your exhalation longer than inhalation. Clearly instruct your mind to slow down and relax. 4. Focus your chosen point of concentration. This should be one of the following subjects: 5. Finish your meditation session on a feeling of gratefulness and/or a short prayer for the world. The best for it to take you hands in Anjali mudra (closed palms together close to your heart center). Your progress is not necessarily measured by the your success in focusing your mind, or by whether you have special experience during your meditation practice. You will know that you are on the right track mainly by the way you feel the rest of the day: Do not force the mind to meditate. Understand the mind first; study three gunas*. It has a very beautiful and minimalistic interface, plus for a small subscription fee you get not only daily meditations, but also yoga and life-coaching sessions. Benefits of Yoga. And why people do Yoga?

The concept of yoga is the way more complicated than other might think. Is not only a physical activity to have less back pain or meditations to reduce stress, which are only smaller part of benefits of yoga. When we experience, we are completely convinced of the effects of yoga. And when we are involved, we can involve others. We may share different concepts of yoga to our friends and family according to what we’ve got experienced». Yoga – To Yolk – Union  Union with people, nature, with yourself and higher reality. It about getting back our awareness  about life and ourselves. Yoga us a union and way to that union. Why people do Yoga? For training and controlling four aspects: While we are practicing yoga for bettering our body it will work on our attitude, breath, mind, emotions, moral duty, action and most importantly our interpersonal relations.  The different paths of Yoga 1. Bhakti (Emotional) – bhaja: to adore, love, to be devoted This is Yoga of devotion, of love. The purpose is to develop intense concentration towards one object. Emotional and mental problems disappear, concentration increase and path higher awareness and bliss is open. 2. Karma (Physical) – selfless, service, humanity. It’s performance of our daily life (work) with constant awareness and without any expectation of reward. It’s about living at the present moment. This path is open to everyone. But it requires selfless, as well as concentrated actions and awareness. Result is less emotional and mental upsets in life and peace.  3. Jnana (Mental) – knowledge, wisdom, self inquiry, intuitive.  The truth is realised through inside. This path is open but only few people are really ready for it. Jnana Yoga requires an obsession to find out the answers. To make progress we have to throw out all definitions about our existence.  4. Raja – Royal, 8 limbs, self mastery, Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga ‘Ha’ – sun; ‘tha’- moon It’s a balance of opposites, dualities of life through physical practice. Preparation for Raja Yoga, to step on the next level. Hatha Yoga consist of: Hatha Yoga tries to achieve balance between body and mind, to get a balance between right and left sides of the body. right: Sun, male side, warm left: Moon, female, cool Ashtanga Yoga (8 limbs) 1. How yoga changed my life. The story of a Yoga Teacher

Yoga journey lasts forever. I remember that day when I went to yoga class first time, I was around 13, and I didn’t like it at all! And now I am Certified Yoga Teacher 🙂 But I came back to the idea of practicing five years later. At that moment happened everything together. I start having health troubles because of working in China, my heart was broken from love and I was simply lost inside. My yoga started with the Nike Training app. Yes yes, I was practicing on my own a good while before going for a class with a real teacher. But honestly, I took maybe three classes with the teacher which is my best friend. Practicing on my own seemed more fun. Especially when you travel a lot for work is much more convenient. So I start loving it! I felt my body more and more flexible, my chest more open and my back strong and straight. What was very important for being a model. After a while also a menstrual pain went away. I never struggled with it much, but like everyone, I felt uncomfortable these days. And yoga changed everything completely. Also now, if I have some cramps again I simply do the practice. One more, the coolest benefit is a calm and peaceful mind. The world becomes way more different inside of you. During super stressful work I was able to stay calm and happy. And even after few years, I was not going much to practice in studios. My best teachers were on YouTube and I could create a space for practice everywhere I was. And is true, you don’t need much to start. Is enough to have a yoga mat, some aromas, and your body 🙂 Now the internet is full full full of free classes of any style you want. You might visit few private classes only to check if you don’t do any mistakes. This is how I did. So, my body became better, my health improved and I got more conscious about myself and the world around me. I started to promote yoga to everyone. I was even leading few classes for my model roommates. At that point, I decided to quit the job of the model and go somewhere to study for a yoga teacher. I wanted to go to India. I still want, but something was changing my way all the time. And I went for a course in Bali. I studied Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga, together with breath and meditation techniques. And I became a member of the Worldwide Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher. Now, yoga is my life.
